Manila Cockers Club (MCC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manila Jockey Club, Inc. It was established to complement the grand development plan of San Lazaro Leisure & Business Park to expand its sporting facilities and leisure potential and help improve the industry of cockfighting in the Philippines to meet the International competition abroad.

he Manila Cockers Club plans to develop two (2) world-class cock fighting facilities inside the San Lazaro Leisure & Business Park (SLLBP) complex: (1) MCC Cockers Arena , a VIP facility located at the Ground Floor of the Turf Club building; and (2) MCC Coliseum, a multi-purpose stadium for cockfighting matches, concerts, and other special events. At present, the company has completed the VIP Arena which started its operations on December 2015.

The immense popularity of cockfighting in the Philippines has remained unchanged throughout the years. Growth however has remained stagnant due to the traditional matches offered to fans and enthusiasts. MCC sees this as an opportunity to deliver superior and thrilling matches that the industry has not seen before. Fans and aficionados will be indulged with the best gaming fowls and seasoned breeders from the most reputable farms all over the country. With an executive team composed of experienced and trusted industry veterans, fights are always exciting, unparalleled and equally matched. Also part of it’s objective is to promote and expand the idea of “Gamefowl Tourism” in the Philippines.

The Manila Cockers Club licences were granted by the LGU (Local Government Unit) of Carmona, Cavite. The permits of MCC “Off Cockpit Betting Stations” are granted by the LGU’s where they operate as mandated by the Cockfighting Law and the Local Government Code. The OCBs (Off Cockpit Betting Station/s) of MCC are all granted permits by the LGUs where they operate. MCC is the only cockfighting event entity that pays taxes due to its legal operations.

In December 2015, the MCC burst into the mainstream with a landmark broadcast agreement with SLBN / Gametime TV Sports Media Group. The agreement includes three to four live events broadcast on the Gametime TV monthly, with additional fight cards and thousands of hours of programming broadcast on MJC and MCC properties SLBN / Gametime TV. This also includes the sports reality show on television, Insider Sabong and Real Sabong, which airs on CIGNAL TV Gametime TV ch 109 in the Philippines.

Today, the Manila Cockers Club holds 21 to 24 days (per month) of cockfights at the Cockers Arena in SLLBP, with a minimum of 24 fights per night. Management adapted the “circuit” derby format with four to five (4-5) days of eliminations; two (2) pre-final days fights and one (1) finals day fights. A total of seven (7) derby days with in the three (3) derbies per month. Offering the lowest entry fee with the largest prize money to all the participants. Fights are computer matched by weight and by class to offer fair fights to the betting public. The Manila Cockers Club rely on United Tote totalisator systems for pari-mutuel wagering products and services.
